Love isn't always a fairytale. Often, it's a battlefield, fought not just between two people, but within the mind itself.
Sometimes the thing we've lost isn't gone. It's simply been forgotten.
Forgotten follows an ordinary couple trying to find meaning, connection, and lasting joy, drawn together in the wake of previous heartbreak, hoping for a fresh start.
Two people, both carrying wounds from the past, come together hoping that this time love might be different.
MAN is a musician - creative, disillusioned and prone to retreating into himself when life becomes overwhelming. WOMAN is a dancer and determined fixer, accustomed to holding things together and trying to make everything right. Both have learned, for very different reasons, not to fully trust love.
But they are not alone on their journey.
Around them move the GUIDES - the unseen voices of the inner world. FEAR and GUILT, charismatic and relentless, lead the DARK GUIDES of DOUBT, CONTEMPT, JEALOUSY and UNCERTAINTY, feeding old wounds and familiar patterns. Opposite them are the LIGHT GUIDES - STRENGTH, TRUST, HOPE, JOY, SERENITY AND PEACE - quieter voices pointing towards another way.
As MAN and WOMAN build a life together, buried trauma begins to surface and their relationship becomes a battlefield between what they fear and what they deeply long for.
Searching for answers, they begin a journey through therapy, self-discovery and spiritual questioning that gradually turns their attention inward. They begin to see the patterns they have carried from childhood, the walls they have built around themselves, and the ways they have projected their own pain onto each other.
The battle doesn't disappear. But something changes.
Together, they learn that FEAR, GUILT and the other dark voices do not have to control them. They discover they have a choice about which voices they listen to and that the love, peace and connection they have been searching for may never have been lost at all.
Just forgotten.
Forgotten is a raw, funny and deeply human, music-driven stage show about love, the battle within the mind, and two ordinary people discovering that sometimes the way home is not about finding something new but remembering what was there all along.
